1 Timothy 1:12-20

(1 Timothy 1:12-20) – A Recognition of Grace.

So much of ministry is extending the same grace that we’ve already received. Paul knows that Timothy must appreciate his salvation to stay faithful over the long haul.

It is when we recognize how little we deserve to be where we are and do what we do that we begin to serve the way God wants us to.

Servants recognize the greatness of their Master as well as their own neediness. I love that even when Paul was in this position of Gospel authority, he’s reminded that it’s all of grace.

Isn’t that all our stories?? God rescued us from slavery to sin and gave us a part in His work that’s way bigger than us!

Thankfulness breeds faithfulness. It is when we fail to be thankful that we cease to be faithful.

Because of all that’s been done for me, I can and should serve the Lord faithfully.
