Proverbs 3:1-8

(Proverbs 3:1-8) – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths.”

Trust – Depend on, put your full weight on,

All – not part, all. All is all and that’s all.

Heart – The center of your intellect, emotions and will.

Do not lean – don’t put any weight on it

Understanding – your way of thinking, your perspective

Ways – habits, thoughts, words, deeds

Acknowledge – deeply know; be intimately acquainted with

Direct – lead, guide, steer

Paths – life, choices, circumstances

When you put all this together, it reads like this…

Put all of your weight on the Lord with all of the deepest parts of your heart. Don’t put any weight on your way of thinking, but in all your choices deeply know God, and He will guide your life.

Sound good? Cool. Let’s do that.
