(Proverbs 4:10-19) – The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn.
Yesterday, we read comments from King David, passed down to King Solomon, which he then passed to his own son.
Today, we’re back to Solomon.
This section begins a series of comments contrasting the lives of the wise and the wicked.
The obvious indicative is that his desire is for his son to live the life of a righteous man.
Righteous people, according to this section, have 3 basic realities going on until their life.
1) They listen to and obey wisdom
– Treasuring wisdom provides a path for confident living
2) They avoid wickedness at all costs
– Not even a hint
3) They continue growing in righteousness
– No stagnancy
