Galatians 1:10-17

(Galatians 1:10-17) – Pleasing God vs. pleasing man

Paul knew that his sharp condemnation of those who preached a false gospel would create backlash.

Some of that would come directly from the false teachers, and other parts of it would come from those who followed them.

Paul wasn’t in it for human praise. Being a servant of God for the Gospel will guarantee that some people are against you, and he was okay with that.

His goal was to please God. His opinion was all that mattered.

And the reason Paul thought this was because no one had done for him what God had done.

God’s grace changed every part of Paul: His mission, mindset, lifestyle, decision-making…everything.

And it should change our lives too.
