(Galatians 6:11-18) – Boast in the Cross
As Paul wraps up this letter, he makes a point to let the people know that he himself penned this letter, an evidence of how important these truth were to him.
If Paul had a sight problem, as many suppose, then his use of an amanuensis (scribe) was surely the norm. This was an exception.
Messing with the Gospel is no joke. We have to take that seriously.
Living by works only leads to self-exaltation. We constantly looking for ways for lift ourselves up and feel better about ourselves.
The only thing that we truly can boast about is the Cross. And not that WE were worthy of Christ’s sacrifice; we boast that Christ was worthy and humbly admit that we benefit from His work.
That’s the Christian life!
We respond in humility to the incredible grace of Christ. It’s all about Him!
He must increase, and I must decrease.
