(Ezra 10) – Following the Leader
The example of a leader can be a really powerful thing. It can affect the majority of those they are leading in either a positive or negative way.
And in this case, the people saw the brokenness of Ezra, and followed suit.
Which is great! Awesome! Praise God! The people are repenting!
But because sin complicates things, sometimes it takes a while to get out of the messes we’ve made.
And here, it took over 3 months! They had to be organized, methodical, and intentional, and eventually everyone took care of their business with God.
Everything seems to rise and fall with leadership.
